For many years, I have been shaving my butt, especially around the anus. I do this as it kind of looks more hygienic and pleasant and I feel more comfortable when using toys. Overall, a hairy butt doesn’t appeal to me and I do not want to make other people uncomfortable.
As a male, most butts will have hairs I assume, but even females will have some hair in that area. Now, that is always a personal preference on what you do and there is nothing wrong with leaving it as it is.
Anyways, shaving is a bit of a nightmare if you have to do it yourself. I was able to get my ex wife to do it for me, however, once being alone again, I had to do it myself. Now, as you do not have eyes there, it is a bit tricky and you could possibly cut yourself. So shaving the butt has always been a challenge. I tried different ways, like going down in a squat and shave, using my phone camera to guide. Sometimes I was kneeing in front of a mirror and used that to help. Other times, like in the shower, I just used my imagination to shave. Yes, you feel where you shave but overall, you do not really see if you got all the areas you want. However, shaving was my main way of cleaning up around my butt hole.
About 5 years ago, I stumbled over an advertisement on Google for intimate waxing. I looked a bit deeper into it and found out, that there are some waxing studios that actually do wax the butt area, even around the anus. So, I gave that a try and the lady was professional about it as I am not the only one doing this. The feeling was a bit uncomfortable, you could say, it even hurts (It hurts a lot). I did that over a course of 3-4 years, however, when the waxing lady changed and prices went up, I decided to go back to shaving.
Entering the area of IPL.
So, a couple of month back, I stumbled over an advertisement on Instagram for an IPL (Intense Pulse Light) device and got curious about it. It promises to remove hair on unwanted areas, including the butt. You have to apply it several times a week in interval over 3 days for a total of maybe 2 month till the hair growth is actually slowed down to a minimum, so you only have to do this every 6 month or so, depending on your body and device.
I am 2 month in and can safely say, this is the preferred for me to remove butt hair. To apply the IPL device is a bit cumbersome, but after a while, you get used to it. The whole process takes about 3-5 minutes and off you go. You might want to apply some Aloe Vera gel afterwards, as it can burn your skin pretty good.
This IPL device is not for every skin color though. Darker colors or even black should not use this device. Luckily, I am as pale as it gets, so no problem for me.
